We have a vacancy for a consultant anaesthetist to work in a private hospital with a Dept of Health contract for general orthopaedics (hips, knees, shoulders, ACLs etc). The hospital is in the south east of England and has outstanding facilities.  There is a mix of over night stay and day cases. Operations are carried out during the day Monday to Friday. You’re not on duty in the evenings or weekends – though there is a 1 in 6 on call rota. You will need full and specialist GMC registration. Salary will be in the region of £90,000 plus a pension scheme etc.

General Information

Some previous UK experience is desirable and so this post is particularly suitable for doctors already in the UK who want to move to a bigger hospital or have longer term job security.  The client will also review CVs from candidates who have not yet worked in the UK but who are at Consultant level in their home country

Our client will  offer you considerable support, training and professional development – particularly if you have limited or no prior experience of working in the UK before.

Assistance is usually available for travel and accommodation for when you start work.
