We are recruiting a consultant Ophthalmologist for our client in the south west of England.  The post holder will perform a range of ophthalmology procedures, on patients referred to the treatment centre, working in accordance with treatment centre protocols and working practices. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a high level of operative skill in the following areas:  Phakeomulsification; Oculoplastic low complex; Surgical retina low complex; Surgical retina intermediate. Duties will include preoperative, intra operative and postoperative activities as well as time allocated for clinical supporting work.  The postholder will work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and will engage in specific management tasks and contribute to monthly departmental meetings and treatment centre in agreement with the Medical Director.

General Information:

Our client will employ you full time on a fixed term contract.  There is an excellent salary starting at c. £120,000. We can give you a guide as to the likely salary but the actual amount they will offer you will be decided after the interview. All doctors need to have full GMC registration and fluent English.
